Information About Rubbermaid Model 9VMH15 Vacuum Cl

By Lee Harris The long awaited Rubbermaid vacuum line has finally arrived. After many missed launch dates and many years in research and development it looks like it was worth the wait. The Rubbermaid vacuum line includes twelve very well designed and user friendly models that include upright vacuum cleaners, backpack vacuum cleaners and wet dry vacuums. The MH and PH vacuums top off the lineup going up against the Sanitaire commercial vacuum line and the highly popular Windsor Versamatic.

The Rubbermaid 9VMH15 is a sleek looking vacuum cleaner in yellow and black with all the extras that a commercial cleaner would want. The MH glides effortlessly across the floor with great downward suction from its large and powerful single motor with more than ample power. Although the MH is a heavy vacuum the brush creates a forward motion that rivals the self propulsion systems on the older Kirby vacuum cleaners that were popular in the 70's and 80's. The MH series is sure to give the competition in its class a run for the money. For almost the same price as the high end Sanitaire models and half the price as the hard hitting Windsor Versamatic this vacuum cleaner is sure to be a smash hit in the U.S commercial cleaning market.

It seems that Rubbermaid took a good look at the competition before designing this vacuum and took the best ideas from many vacuums and built the ultimate. The pull out wand has a comfortable handle grip with and extra wide tube to prevent clogging. The wand easily detaches from the suction tube for east cleaning of larger debris. The onboard tools tuck neatly into the back cover panel, don't stick out, and remain secure even if the vacuum is dropped. The arsenal of tools includes and extra large wand, crevice tool and rectangle brush accessory.

The upper handle pulls away from the vacuum cleaner for easy replacement of the cord and can be replaced in seconds if a backup handle is readily available. The handle is very ergonomic and comfortable to grasp with a very accessible and reliable on and off switch. The vacuum cleaner is intelligent not only in design but also in performance. With a clogged system and bag full indicator light this vacuum lets you know if you're not operating at full performance. If the unit does happen to clog Rubbermaid have added a secret trap door on the lower assembly with easy access to parts of the vacuum cleaner where most clogs would occur. With a simple flip of a switch the inner vacuum hose can be easily worked on with no screwdriver necessary.

The large rubber non skid wheels are great for maneuvering the vacuum into tight places and holds fast on hard floors. The MH15 vacuum cleaner comes with manual height adjustment leaving less to go wrong with the unit. The large well marked height adjustment dial is easy to read and easy to operate.

The 1.6 horsepower motor is a powerhouse even in industrial cleaning environments. With 98" of water lift and 105 cubic feet per minute of suction the 9VMH15 Rubbermaid vacuum cleaner is a forerunner in commercial vacuums. With the CRI Green Label certification this vacuum cleaner would be an asset to any green cleaning division or LEED certified facility.

Overall the Rubbermaid 9VMH15 is a superb vacuum cleaner and has to be one of the best I have seen. With all the pros to the vacuum it definitely outweighs the only two drawbacks I could see. My fist observation is that the foot lever on the back is a little too small and the vacuum is a little on the heavy side, but to be fair to Rubbermaid I will say that its hard to fit this much into a vacuum and not add a little weight. Overall this is my upright vacuum cleaner pick for 2008. It is easy to see that Rubbermaid have studied the competition and taken every great idea from every other vacuum and have designed a forerunner in the cleaning industry.

Vacuum Cleaner Information - Finding What You Need

Finding the vacuum cleaner information that you need to purchase, maintain and or operate a vacuum cleaner can be difficult. There are many aspects and variables to consider when doing your research on vacuum cleaners. Research is critical to be able to make a good decision as what vacuum cleaner you should purchase to meet your cleaning needs. Setting up the criteria by which you judge each vacuum cleaner is very important. Basically you do not want to measure apples to oranges when doing your decision making. A good job of research will have no value unless you can effectively use the vacuum cleaner information that you have gathered.

To begin your search for vacuum cleaner information you should probably consider the following criteria:

Suction power- It goes without saying the more powerful the suction power a vacuum the better it will clean. The motor size is the key to suction power and is measured in either Amps or Watts. Make sure that you know the difference. Bigger is better but also heavier.

Filtration-The ability of vacuum to remove all the dirt from a surface and contain it within the vacuum cleaner itself is critical. Cheaper vacuum cleaners with simple bag systems capture macro dirt particles but exhaust the smaller particles, pathogens and biologics back into the air. The HEPA filter that was developed to remove very fine particles is a very good investment when buying any vacuum cleaner. The better the filtration system the smaller the particle, measured in microns, the filter will remove. This vacuum cleaner information will assure that your clean home will also be a healthy home.

Bag or Bag less system- When doing your vacuum cleaner information research on filters you should also look closely at the system that collects the dirt, allergens and biologics. In general a quality vacuum cleaner with good bag/filter system will do a much job of capturing the dirt that you are removing from the surfaces of your home. The inconvenience of purchasing bags is out weighed by the performance of a good quality bag system. Bag less systems that have very good double filtration systems are also a good choice.

Vacuum Cleaner types: There are generally three different types of vacuum cleaners and they include the upright, canister and stick vacuum cleaners. In doing your search for vacuum cleaner information you should decide which system will work for you. Upright vacuum cleaners are designed to clean carpets. There beater bar and roller systems do a good job on this type of surface but cannot reach many tight places. Canister vacuum cleaners are more versatile in that they can with a power head attachment, do all that the upright vacuum can do plus reach under and behind furniture. In addition they do a very good job on hard surfaces. Portable light stick vacuums are great for cleaning small spaces or hard to reach areas like stairs. Many of these are battery operated and are very light and easy to use.

Attachments-When searching for vacuum cleaner information on attachments you may want to consider the type of wand each has and if you are considering a canister vacuum you should consider the purchase of a powerhead for cleaning carpets. Attachments make your vacuum cleaner much more versatile.

Weight- The weight of a vacuum may be important if you are going to have to move it around. This is especially important with canister vacuums that are usually dragged behind while cleaning. Heavy upright vacuums can also be hard to push around as well. When doing your search for vacuum cleaner information be sure to look for the weight of each vacuum.

Self Propelled Vacuums-If weight is a concern when using an upright vacuum cleaner you may want to look for a self-propelled model. True they are more expensive but they are much easier on your back.

Cord Systems Edge cleaning ability Non-marking wheels for wood floors

Height Adjustment systems include those that adjust automatically.
