5. The weight of your vacuum might be important to you. You'll want to be able to move it around, and carry it up and down stairs regularly, so you won't want it to be heavy.

8. It's important that you think about the reliability and durability of your new vacuum. Depending on the environment it will be used in, your vacuum cleaner might have an exceptionally hard life. You might be using several times a day it for cleaning a hotel or hospital, or an office or school. Alternatively you might only need to vacuum a couple of times a week.
